The State of Nevada was awarded the 2010 IIMC Annual Conference early in 2008. This conference is scheduled for May 23-27, 2010 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, which leaves just a few brief years to plan and organize.  We want this conference to be a great success, so we are asking for your support.  If you are interested in volunteering for a subcommittee or just lending a helping hand we would love to hear from you.

Host Education Subcommittee

Purpose:  The purpose of this sub-committee is to identify and recommend possible presenters for General and Concurrent sessions as well as identify and propose Master Municipal Clerk Academy (MMCA) seminars and presenters.  Additionally, this committee is responsible for the following:   Meet with IIMC staff at each Annual Conference to discuss the education program; Meet with IIMC volunteers, the Director of Education, Education Associate or designated IIMC personnel during site visit(s) to discuss program ideas, conference study tours, possible presenters and working relationships.

Registration & Hospitality Subcommittee

Purpose:  The purpose of this sub-committee is to identify and provide IIMC with conference office equipment volunteers, and other items to ensure a smooth Conference operation.  Additionally, this committee is responsible for the following: Assist IIMC staff at registration desk; Coordinate official guides, greeters, and volunteers for welcoming, events, and educational sessions.

Exhibit Hall Subcommittee

Purpose:  The purpose of this sub-committee is to identify and recommend possible local or regional vendors who are interested in exhibiting at the Annual Conference. They will also identify possible Exhibit Hall entertainment and meal/refreshment enhancements (i.e. morning coffee stations, refreshments for afternoon breaks), and assume financial responsibility accordingly.   Additionally, this committee is responsible for the following: Coordinate volunteers to monitor the MCEF silent auction; Coordinate Door Prizes and Fund Raiser activities with lunch time entertainment.

Opening Ceremony Subcommittee

Purpose:  The purpose of this sub-committee is to provide a stimulating and welcoming venue which will appropriately introduce the City of Reno, the State of Nevada, the Nevada Municipal Clerks Association, and Region VIII members to the delegates, dignitaries, and guests of the 64th IIMC Annual Conference; to recognize the member State and Country associations; and to set the stage for an exciting and adventure-filled week of learning and networking in the Wild, Wild West.
